SKIDGUARD DOCK DECKING

SKIDGUARD DOCK DECKING

Continuous No-Gap Surface

A waffle-weave textured panel with a heavy-duty phenolic overlay. Skidguard provides a continuous, no-gap surface that is highly resistant to peeling or chipping. It offers excellent traction when wet. (Only available on 2′-4′ and 8′ wide docks.)

Quality

  • Skidguard is a waffle-weave textured panel ideal for slip-resistant footing.
  • Skidguard is constructed of exterior grade plywood and a heavy-duty phenolic overlay attached with 100% waterproof glue that maintains integrity under the most severe moisture conditions.
  • The overlay consists of a heavy fiber sheet, thoroughly impregnated with a special formula phenolic resin. This overlay is bonded to the panel face under heat and pressure so that it actually becomes a part of the panel itself. It will not peel or chip away.
  • The traction pattern is deeply embossed into the surface during the manufacturing process. As the thermo-setting resin cures, the rough textured screen grid hardens into a permanent, wear-resistant surface.

Durability

  • The heavy-duty overlay surface of Skidguard will wear for years under normal residential foot traffic.

Appearance

  • Skidguard is warm in color, and the pleasingly textured surface eliminates sun glare associated with smooth surfaces, thus providing a pleasant setting for outdoor activities.

Weatherability

  • Skidguard is made to resist weathering. The overlay will not check or peel, even under adverse weather conditions.
  • The only change you will notice is a gradual darkening to a rich amber color caused by long exposure to sunlight.
CEDAR WOOD DOCK DECKING

CEDAR WOOD DOCK DECKING

Solid Durable Wood Dock Decking

A traditional favorite. Solid, durable wood that is naturally weather resistant. 5/4″ radius smooth planks provide good footing, wet or dry.

All-Weather

  • Western Red Cedar Wood is one of the few wood species that is naturally weather resistant. Its resistance to moisture, decay and insect damage make it the ideal choice for a surface that is exposed to sun, rain, heat and cold all year round.

Easy Finishing

  • Because cedar wood is virtually pitch and resin free, the wood easily accepts a range of finishes, from fine oils and stains, to solid coatings and paint. When properly finished, Cedar will last for decades even in harsh environments.

Dimensional Stability

  • Western Red Cedar has twice the stability of most commonly available softwoods. The stability is a result of its low density and shrinkage factors. It lies flat, stays straight, and holds fastenings tightly.
